About The Chinese University of Hong Kong ENT Conference

Since the first CUHK ENT Conference in 2006, this annual conference has served as a regional platform for ENT surgeons, otologists, speech therapists, audiologists, nursing and clinical professionals to keep abreast of the latest development of the field. Panels of world and local experts shared their enlightening experiences in otorhinolaryngology and related sciences.

About the CUHK ENT Conference 2018 "Technological Advances in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery"

The conference in December 7^th – 9^th of 2018 will serve as a platform to introduce and keep professionals in our field abreast of rapidly advancing technologies. The technological advances approached will range from personalized medicine to robotics and imaging advances that are applicable to our specialty. We will bring together panels of leaders and the next generation of leaders to share their exciting experiences in our wide ranging and rapidly changing field.

Welcome Message from Department Chairman

Welcome to the 13^th CUHK ENT Conference 2018.
‘Thirteen’ in Chinese is a lucky number with a meaning of ‘definitely vibrant’. Technological in medicine usually implies the merging of engineering into clinical applications. New surgical tools, robotics, artificial organs, AI doctors, and so forth would contribute to better patient outcomes. We are proud to be a member of the leading teams in this respect.
The Conference consists of top-notched speakers in various pre-conference workshops, keynote speeches, faculty lectures, free paper presentations and video sessions. I encourage you to join in discussions, bring up questions and share your knowledge in this four-day programme.

Welcome Message from Conference Chairman

On behalf of the organizing committee, it gives me great pleasure to invite you to the CUHK ENT Conference on Technological Advances in Otorhinolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery on the 7^th to 9^th of December 2018.
During the last decade or so, remarkable advances have been made in many aspects of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. The advancement in our understanding of the genetic basis of disease for personalized diagnostics and treatments, improvements in robotic technology tailored for our field, advancements in implants, image guidance, surgical techniques and drugs have translated to better remedies and enhanced awareness of associating conditions. The treatments are safer, more effective, more functional preserving and many a time more cosmetic. The aim of this conference is to provide a platform where these new advancements can be shared to the delegates, who may in return share their own experiences and wisdoms.
We are very excited and honored to have many top experts to join us as faculties from around the globe. We are confident that the conference participants would benefit substantially, and therefore better equipped to manage the amazing variety of salivary gland conditions.
As a side note, the conference is held at a time that coincides the best time to visit Hong Kong, a vibrant city where the East meet the West.
