He is the Chief of the Division of Laryngology in the Department and is active in research in NPC dysphagia. He is also a member of European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery and team member of Division of Facial Plastic Surgery in his department. Dr. KU is also interested in functional and aesthetic septorhinoplasty and other facial plastic surgery.

Dr. Ryan CHO graduated from the medical faculty of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), followed by specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at CUHK affiliated ENT departments locally. With subspecialty interests in Rhinology & Skull Base Surgery and Head & Neck Surgery, he underwent further local and overseas training with clinical attachment at National Cancer Centre Singapore and Cranial Base Surgery Division, Department of Otolaryngology at University of Pittsburgh Medical Centre. He has special interests in endoscopic endonasal surgery for treating different benign and malignant sinonasal & anterior skull base tumours, recurrent nasopharyngeal carcinoma and skull base osteoradionecrosis. He has attained the Global Online Fellowship of IFHNOS (International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies) and post fellowship training in head and neck surgery of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists. He was one of the Junior Members Travel Grants Winners at the European Rhinology Society meeting ERS2018. He is active in medical education and training, and has been an instructor in various dissection and training courses.

Dr Victor ABDULLAH BSc (Hons), MBBS (London), FRCS (England), FRCS (Edinburgh), FCSHK, FHKCORL, FHKAM (Otol) graduated from the former Charing Cross & Westminster Hospital, now Imperial College (London) in 1985. During his medical school days, he took an intercalated year to further his research experience at Middlesex Hospital of the University of London. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with Honors in1982. He developed an interest in ENT, Head and Neck Surgery during his clinical years and confirmed his interest when he undertook an Elective attachment as a student at the Royal National Throat, Nose and Ear Hospital, London in 1984. During his internship, he spent three months of his Surgical Training in Ear Nose and Throat Surgery which took his interest in the subject further. After spending four years of training in ENT at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital, London, 1988-1992 during which he completed his registrar training and obtained his FRCS (England), he returned to Hong Kong to further his advanced training under Professor Charles Andrew van Hasselt at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and has served the Hospital Authority of Hong Kong since then.

Dr ABDULLAH's interests are in Paediatric Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery and Surgery for Sleep Apnoea. He remains committed to Public Service and takes a strong interest in teaching and training.

He is presently the Consultant, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Hong Kong Children's Hospital, an affiliated unit of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, serving a population of one million in Kwun Tong and Tsuen Kwan O, Kowloon East Cluster. He is a Clinical Associate Professor (Honorary), Chief of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology of the University Department.

Dr CHAN graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in London, followed by specialist training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions with advanced training in Head and Neck surgery, microvascular reconstruction and robotics. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with research interests in head and neck cancers, the microbiome in head and neck cancers and the application of robotics in Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr CHANG Graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and receive her subspecialty training in the Prince of Wales Hospital. She receive her overseas training in Italy with the world master of lateral skull base surgery, Professor Mario Sanna in the Gruppo Otologico. And the world leader of Endoscopic ear surgery, Professor Daniele Marchioni in the University of Verona.

She is a member of the otology team with special interest in vestibular diseases, transcanal endoscopic ear surgery and skull base surgery. She is also active in researches and training. She is currently the assistant director of Institute of Human Communicative Research, trainer of The Hong Kong college of Otorhinolaryngology, Neurosurgery, Doctor of Nursing programme, World Skull base group. She is a member of the international working group on Endoscopic ear surgery (IWGEES), secretary of the Pan-Asia Working Group on Endoscopic Ear surgery (PAWGEES). She is the chief author of the Total Endoscopic Ear Surgery Dissection Manual published by the CUHK in 2016. She is a young leader in the field of EES and lateral skull base in local and international arenas.

He is also a key player in the field of endoscopic skull base surgery at the PWH. His current research interest is olfactory training in patients who suffer from smell problems.

Dr. Joseph CHUNG obtained his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2004 and completed his training in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery in Queen Mary Hospital in 2011. After that, he sub-specialized in the field of head and neck surgery and completed the Post-Fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgery of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists. He underwent oversea trainings in major head and neck centers, namely University of California San Francisco, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston and microvascular training in China Medical University Hospital, Taichung.

Dr. CHUNG currently is the Associate Consultant of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat, Queen Mary Hospital and the Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor, the University of Hong Kong. His clinical interests include head and neck cancer resection and microsurgery with free flap reconstruction, minimally invasive robotic and endoscopic surgery.

Mr. FONG is a speech therapist specializing in the management of swallowing disorders. He has vast clinical experience in different populations including patients with neurogenic problems, head and neck cancer and the paediatric population. His research interest is also on dysphagia, in particular in patients with nasopharyngeal cancer and dysphagia management in the community and residential care home settings. His work in this area are published in numerous peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Osan HO is an associate consultant ENT Surgeon of the United Christian Hospital and Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her subspecialist interest is in Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery and she has completed an International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies recognized examination in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2015.

Dr HO’s clinical interests include functional and aesthetic facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, in particular functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty, facial nerve palsy reanimation, microtia reconstruction surgery, as well as office-based aesthetic procedures.

Dr. LAU is the 2018 outstanding young fellow of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologist. He is currently an Associate Consultant in Prince of Wales Hospital and a Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong as well as a Global Fellow with the International Federation of Head and Neck Oncologic Societies. He currently works with the CUHK Head and Neck team with special interests in Virtual Surgical planning, Tranoral Robotic surgeries and Thyroid radiofrequency ablation procedures.

Dr Thomas LAW is a speech-language pathologist registered in Hong Kong and Australia. He specialises in voice disorders, fluency disorders, and multilingual acquisition and its disorders. He is currently the Deputy Chief of Division of Speech Therapy. Thomas’ research includes intervention outcomes and epidemiology in both stuttering and voice disorders, linguistic factors affecting stuttering, issues regarding perceptual evaluation of voice and clinical education in speech-language pathology.

Dr John LEE is currently an Associate Consultant in the Department of Otolaryngology at the Prince of Wales Hospital and Alice Ho Nethersole Hospital. He is a fully trained Otolaryngologist with advanced training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery which he has obtained the International Board for Certification of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2019.

Dr LEE provides clinical ranging from minimally-invasive procedures (such as botox, fillers or laser) to more traditional surgery (such as skin cancer, facial reanimation surgery, or auricular reconstruction) with special interest in difficult rhinoplasty.

Professor Kathy Y.S. LEE is currently an Associate Professor and Chief at the Division of Speech Therapy, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who has participated extensively in designing the assessment and habilitation programs of various client groups since 1995. She has developed a number of validated tests including the Cantonese Receptive Vocabulary Test (CRVT), the Cantonese Basic Speech Perception Test (CBSPT), the Cantonese Tone Identification Test (CANTIT) and the Cantonese Spoken Word Recognition Test (CanSWORT). Her main research areas lie in pediatric speech and language development, Cantonese tone perception and production, test standardization and validation.

Dr. LEUNG graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed her training in Otorhinolaryngology at Prince of Wales Hospital. She has special interest in Sleep Surgery and Sleep Medicine. She underwent overseas training in Sleep Surgery Division of Stanford University and Medical College Wisconsin. She is an Associate Consultant of the Department of the Ear, Nose and Throat of the Prince of Wales Hospital, and Clinical Assistant Professor (honorary) of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. With the support by Professor Michael Tong, an integrated sleep service in the Prince of Wales Hospital, with collaboration with the Departments of Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, Oral and maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontist was established. There was also collaboration between The Chinese University of Hong Kong and Dr. Stanley Liu from Stanford University since 2018, to provide different spectrum of Sleep Surgeries in Hong Kong.

Dr Iris NG was trained as a clinical audiologist, and registered as a member of the Register of Audiologists accredited by the Department of Health. She serves the community with identification and rehabilitation of hearing and communication difficulties. She, and the Division of Audiology led by her, is currently engaged in a few funded research and community projects on management of hearing loss among elderly population, as well as the effect and outcome evaluation of various hearing prostheses. She has also worked for over 10 years on the application of psychometrics, in the development and validation of standardised assessment tools in speech and hearing sciences.

Professor Michael C.F. TONG, Chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is specialized in the fields of otology, neurotology and skull base surgery. Paralleled with that, his interest has extended to the broader field of medicine – epidemiology and public health especially in elderly health. Having led the clinical research team, he has numerous successful grants and over 300 publications, which has resulted in a national and international reputation of his Department in the field of general otology, cochlear and auditory brainstem implantation and nasopharyngeal cancer research. Development of new techniques of minimally invasive surgery in ORLHNS has also been his recent interest. Professor TONG is also regularly visiting regional centres in the past fifteen years to share his clinical and surgical experience in hearing implants. He has organized a number of international conferences and co-founded the Chinese Academy of ORLHNS that runs biannual meeting in different cities in greater China. Apart from teaching, research and clinical work, Professor TONG advocates community service to educate the public on health issues related to ear, nose and throat. As Founder and Chairman of a non-profit organization, the Hear Talk Foundation, he enlists voluntary service from the professionals offering service to the underprivileged. The Foundation operates regular charitable missions to mainland China to provide free medical and surgical treatment to the poor.

Dr Raymond TSANG graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) in 1994 and received his training in otolaryngology in Prince of Wales Hospital, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He obtained his specialist qualification in otolaryngology and fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of EDinburgh in 2001 and then sub-specialised in the field of head and neck surgery. Currently, he is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery at The University of Hong Kong. He also heads the Division of Otorhinolaryngology of the Department of Surgery at The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital in Shenzhen, China. His clinical research interests include application of rebotic surgery in head and neck surgery, minimally invasive srugery in the head and neck region, endoscopic surgery for anterior skull base lesions, and swallowing disorders in patients after head and neck concer treatment. He actively researches in the application of the next generation flexible robatic surgical system to be used in the head and neck area.

Dr Zenon YEUNG graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and received his specialty training in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at United Christian Hospital under the guidance of Dr Victor Abdullah.
Dr Zenon YEUNG specializes in head and neck cancer surgery and completed his 2-year post-fellowship training in head and neck cancer surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital and United Christian Hospital in Hong Kong. Dr Yeung also completed the IFHNOS Global Online Fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery and Oncology with Honours.
In 2015, Dr Zenon YEUNG was awarded the Thomas Cheung Educational Fund Scholarship to undergo further study in head and neck cancer resection and reconstruction in Iowa, United States. In 2017, Dr Yeung was elected as the Distinguished Young Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists. In 2019, he was awarded the Hospital Authority Corporate Scholarship to undergo hands-on training in head and neck cancer surgery at the University of Cape Town with Prof Johannes Fagan. In 2021, Dr Yeung received the Hospital Authority Young Achiever’s Award for his dedication in providing innovative and comprehensive care to head and neck cancer patients.
Dr Zenon YEUNG is now an Associate Consultant in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the United Christian Hospital and Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Kowloon East Cluster. He is also the Deputy Chief of Division of Head and Neck Surgery at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has special interests in head and neck cancer resection and reconstruction, sialendoscopy and radiofrequency ablation of benign thyroid nodules.
