Dr. CHAO ​Yun-Ting

Yun-Ting Chao is a clinical physician specializing in rhinology, skull base surgery, and olfactory function. He graduated from Taipei Medical University and completed his residency training in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Taipei Veterans General Hospital. He obtained his Ph.D. in Brain Science from Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, with a focus on the brain plasticity of the human olfactory network. During 2021-2022, he worked as a research fellow in Prof. Thomas Hummel’s lab in Dresden, Germany. Dr. Chao now serves as the chief of the Rhinology division of the department at Taipei Veterans General Hospital and leads several neuroimaging studies on human olfactory function as a principal investigator.

Dr. Venus Tang is a clinical psychologist specializing in neuropsychology based in Hong Kong. She graduated from the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and received her Master Degree in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Medicine from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). She was a visiting scholar in the Department of Neurology, David Geffen School of Medicine in the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her clinical and research interests have been on clinical neuropsychology and mind-body interactions. Her studies are published in international top-ranking journals, e.g. Neurology. She is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in HKU and CUHK. She is an Associate Member of the American Psychological Association.

Dr. WONG Kai-chuen, ​Fergus

Fergus is the Consultant in the Department of Ear, Nose, and Throat at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, specializing in Rhinology and Head & Neck Surgery. His special interests include Endoscopic Endonasal Skull Base Surgery, Head & Neck Cancer Surgery with Reconstruction, and Robotic Surgery. He has a strong academic focus on Rhinology with several international publications.
Having completed post-fellowship training in Head & Neck Surgery in 2022, Fergus pursued overseas subspecialty training in Head & Neck Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He also underwent Skull Base Surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center under Prof Carl H. Snyderman and at The Ohio State University under Prof Ricardo Carrau.
Fergus holds leadership roles in various professional organizations, such as the Founding Chairman of The Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists Young Fellow Chapter and Honorary Advisor & Past President of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital Doctors’ Association.
Fergus has been the recipient of numerous awards, including the Hong Kong East Cluster Young Achiever Award in 2023, the Hospital Authority Young Achiever Award in 2024, and various Outstanding Team Awards within his Cluster and the Hospital Authority. Currently, he serves as the department's Rhinology Team Head and holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor at CUHK Medicine.

Dr. Thomas Shi-Yeung Ho is currently working as Associate Consultant of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat, Queen Mary Hospital. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2014 and became a specialist of Otorhinolaryngology in 2021.
Dr. Ho is dedicated in the subspecialty of rhinology and sleep medicine and had multiple publications in this regard and presentations in multiple local and overseas conferences.

Professor (Dr) Alkis Psaltis is Head of the Department of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital. He is a also Professor in the Department of Surgery, at the University of Adelaide. Prof Psaltis, completed his advanced ENT training in Adelaide in 2010. He completed three subspecialty fellowships in advanced endoscopic sinus surgery and anterior skull base surgery in Auckland, NZ, Charleston, USA and Stanford University SA.Prof Psaltis has a strong research and academic interest. He completed his PhD in 2008 and authored > 160 peer-reviewed articles and 15 book chapters. He serves on the editorial board of The American Journal of Rhinology, The Australian Journal of Otolaryngology, The Annals Otology, Rhinology & Laryngology and Frontiers Clinical Microbiology.He is considered a leader in rhinology and sinus surgery and is a regular invited keynote speaker at many international and national ENT conferences and sinus courses.

Dr. Danny Chan completed training in glioma surgery (awake functional cortical mapping) with Prof. Mitchel Berger (UCSF) in 2002 and in neuro-oncology with Prof. Alfred WK Yung (MDACC) in 2007.​ His areas of interest include glioma surgery, neuro-oncology, functional neurosurgery (stereotactic neurosurgery & deep brain stimulation) and AI & robotic neurosurgery.
