Born in Manila, Dr CESAR, went to medical school at the University of Santo Tomas and completed his residency in ENT at the University of the Phlippines - Philippine General Hospital, Department of Otorhinolaryngology. He did his fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary , Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in 1986. He was previous president of the Philippine Society of Otorhinolarynology-Head and Neck Surgery and the ASEAN Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well as the Philippine Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He is a full professor at the ENT-HNS department of the Far Eastern University Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation and an associate professor of the University of the Philippines Manila, College of Medicine.

Dr CHEN has a long-term focus on clinical diagnosis and treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and related transformation studies, specializing in radiotherapy, chemotherapy, surgery and comprehensive treatment of nasopharyngeal carcinoma, especially the clinical synthesis of refractory nasopharyngeal carcinoma such as recurrence, metastasis, necrotic nasopharyngeal carcinoma treatment. He has published SCI included 76 articles, the cumulative impact factor of 267 points, of which the first author or correspondent authors on 36 articles, the total IF 182.33, the single highest IF > 10 (4), the highest single frequency of 85 times.

Professor HSIAO Tzu-Yu graduated from College of Medicine, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan and obtained MD degree in 1980. Prof LI is the world authority in the field of sleep medicine and sleep surgery. He has travelled worldwide to lecture and teach. In addition, he has developed new and novel surgical techniques, and published more than 100 SCI papers and book chapters. Recently, he is interesting in sleep technology and working on novel device to improve snoring and sleep apnea. Prof Li is sitting on numerous leader positions of international academy of sleep surgery.

Dr. Qiuli Li is an Associate Professor at the Department of Head and Neck Surgery, Sun Yat-sen University Cancer Center in Guangzhou, China. His research interests mainly include clinical and basic research of head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) and thyroid cancer. He has published more than 20 peer-reviewed articles about head and neck tumors.

The research directions are neck scarless endoscopic surgery and robotic surgery for thyroid and head and neck tumors, comprehensive treatment of voice diseases, diagnosis and treatment of postradiotherapy complications in nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and comprehensive treatment of advanced head and neck tumors. He is good at all kinds of laryngeal microsurgery and voice reconstruction.

Dr Lim graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1998. He underwent residency in Otolaryngology in Singapore and was awarded the Gold medal for the MRCS (Edinburgh) General Surgery examination in 2003 and subsequently the Gold medal award by the College of Surgeons for the best performing resident in the exit examination organized by the Specialist Training Committee in Otolaryngology in 2009.After completing his specialist training, he joined the Department of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery as an Associate Consultant. He started his practice and pursued further training in head and neck oncologic surgery at the National University Health System, Singapore. In 2010, he was awarded the Ministry of Health Overseas Training award and pursued a 2 year Head and Neck Oncologic Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in the United States of America. This fellowship is accredited by the Advanced Training Council of the American Head and Neck Society. During these 2 years, Dr Lim did translational benchwork research in immunotherapy in head and neck cancer, focusing of immunological mechanisms in monoclonal antibody based therapy in cancer and identifying novel immune modifiers in cancer therapy. In his clinical training, he was trained in transoral robotic surgery (TORS), minimally invasive video assisted thyroidectomy (MIVAT) and minimally invasive approaches in head and neck surgery, in addition to the major head and neck resections. Upon his return to Singapore in 2012, he was appointed Consultant in the Division of Surgical Oncology (Head and Neck Surgery), NCIS and Department of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, NUH as well as Assistant Professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.His awards included the National Healthcare Group Clinical Research Scientist Leadership Award, best oral presentation for the Pitch for fund award and NHG Clinician scientist bronze award. He is the principal investigator in several grants looking at human papillomavirus in head and neck cancer and immune adjuvant in monoclonal antibody based therapy in head and neck cancer. In 2011, he was awarded the New Investigator Grant by the National Medical Research Singapore. In the area of research in robotic surgery, Dr Lim is actively collaborating iwth the acedemic staff from teh Faculty of Engineering National University of SIngapore and was the co-PI evaluating the key technologies for minimally invasive robotics surgery and navigation. Dr Lim has published in book chapters and numerous peer reviewed journals.

Dr LIU is as an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology in the Division of Sleep Surgery, and serves as co-director of the Stanford Sleep Surgery Fellowship. He received his medical and dental degrees from the University of California-San Francisco (UCSF). Dr. LIU practices the full scope of sleep apnea surgery including nasal, palatal, hypoglossal nerve stimulation, genioglossus advancement, distraction osteogenesis maxillary expansion (DOME), and maxillomandibular advancement (MMA).

His active areas of research include dynamic airway examination of OSA, virtual surgical planning for precision facial skeletal surgery, and neuromodulation of the head and neck.

Dr. Danzheng Liu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery in Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University. He received his M.D. from Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China, followed by residency and fellowship training, together with a Ph.D. program focusing on hearing research and head and neck surgery in Eye & ENT Hospital. He went to otolaryngology department at Wayne State University School of Medicine, MI, US, for his post-doctor training focusing on cell replacement therapy for inner ear. His clinical and research interests are in the surgical management of OSA. He and his team have accrued extensive experience in Asia in using the Da Vinci and Medrobotic robotic platform in surgical treatment of OSA. He has authored numerous publications and book chapters in renowned international peer-reviewed journals and books. He is volume editor of March 2019 issue of Sleep Medicine Clinics on Screening, Prevention and treatment of OSA.

Dr. Chung-Kan Tsao completed the training of plastic surgery in the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan in 2002 and was promoted to the field of micro-transplant reconstruction of autologous tissue. Expertise is microsurgical reconstruction, especially the microssurgical reconstruction of the head and neck and esophagus. Since 2014, he has served as Chief of the Division of reconstructive microsurgery, Department of Plastic Surgery, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei.

From 2003 to December 2018, 1883 cases of microscopic flap transplantation have been completed, including more than 1700 cases of head and neck reconstruction, 102 cases of hypopharyngo-esophageal reconstruction, 30 cases of esophageal reconstruction for acoustic esophageal defect, and reconstruction of oral mucosal fibrosis for more than 51 cases. More than 60 papers have been published in international journals.

Dr. Tsao has been working with otolaryngology for a long time. In recent years, he has been actively improving the repair and reconstruction methods after total laryngectomy. The free anterolateral flap has been successfully revised (J- design thigh flap for simultaneous reconstruction of cervical esophagus and voice-tube speech) to complete the reconstruction of the esophagus and the voice tube, which helps the patient to restore the function of oral feeding, and also restore the function of speech communication.

Dr WANG graduated from School of Medicine, National Yang-Ming University in 1994. Prof. Zhou is the one who has first reported the endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy surgery and introduced the endoscopic classification of frontal recess in China. He has also designed the endoscopic pre-lacrimal recess approach, which is now widely used both in China and abroad. In the recent decade, Prof. Zhou devotes himself to the study of skull base anatomy and surgery, the etiology and treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis (especially the refractory rhinosinusitis), as well as pediatric chronic rhinosinusitis. Based on his profound research work, Prof. Zhou has totally published more than 110 rhinology papers, including 33 SCI papers. He is the chief of the National Health and Family Planning Commission Otolaryngology Endoscopic Technique Specialist Committee, member of the Chinese Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery (chief of the Rhinology division), member and secretary-general of the Beijing Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. He is also the international member of the American Rhinology Society.

1992年畢業於重慶醫科大學臨床醫學專業，從事耳鼻咽喉-頭頸外科工作27年，現擔任澳門鏡湖醫院耳鼻咽喉-頭頸外科主任、主任顧問醫生、澳門大學健康管理學院客座教授；澳門耳鼻咽喉科學會副會長、澳門中華耳鼻咽喉-頭頸外科學會會長、澳門腫瘤學會、澳門生命科學會理事和名譽顧問；各類專業刊物發表論文30餘篇；擅長耳鼻喉內鏡手術與聽力重建、嗓音顯微外科及鼻眼相關外科手術，頭頸部腫瘤手術及功能重建。

Dr Victor Abdullah

Dr. Abdullah is presently the Consultant and Cluster Chief of Service, Department of Ear Nose and Throat, United Christian Hospital, an affiliated unit of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, serving a population of one million in Kwun Tong and Tsuen Kwan O, Kowloon East Cluster. He is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor, Chief of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology of the University Department. Dr Abdullah is the current President of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists.

Dr Abdullah's interests are in Paediatric Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery and Surgery for Sleep Apnea.

Dr John Chan is the Associate Consultant of the Department of ENT of Queen Elizabeth Hospital of Hong Kong. He has special interest in facial plastic surgery, especially the septorhinoplasty, to improve the form and function of his patients.

Dr Catherine Chan Po Ling obtained her MB.ChB in The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2015 and awarded a distinction in MRes Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention in Imperial College London. Aspirated to become an engineer-clinician, her research interest lies in materializing intra-operative augmented reality imaging processing to assist minimally invasive surgery. She is currently a resident trainee in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in Prince of Wales Hospital.

Dr CHAN graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ School of Medicine in London, followed by specialist training in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck surgery at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions with advanced training in Head and Neck surgery, microvascular reconstruction and robotics. He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong with research interests the application of robotics in Head and Neck Surgery and the microbiome in head and neck cancer.

Dr. Chan graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2013 and is currently a resident trainee in the Department of otorhinolaryngology, Head and neck surgery, CUHK. She is expected to finish her fellowship training in 2020.

Dr CHANG graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, currently works as associate consultant in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of NTEC and honorary clinical Assistant Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a member of the otology team with special interest in transcanal endoscopic ear surgery and skull base surgery. She received her overseas training in Gruppo Otologico and University of Verona in Italy consolidating her lateral skull base surgery and endoscopic ear surgeries. She is also a member of the International working group on endoscopic ear surgery (IWGEES).

Dr Kelvin CHONG’s clinical and research interest focus in orbital (thyroid eye, tumor, trauma), oculofacial plastic (lacrimal, eyelid, socket) surgeries and related translational research. He is the chief of the Orbital and Oculoplastic Surgery division, the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at the Prince of Wales Hospital, the CUHK and the Associate Director of the CUHK Eye Center. He serves as the Immediate Past President of Hong Kong Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery(HKSOPRS), First Vice-President of the Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery(APSOPRS), the education secretary of the International Thyroid Eye Disease Society(ITEDS).

Dr. CHOW is an associate consultant of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, the Prince of Wales Hospital and the Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital. She is an honorary assistant professor of the Deparyment of Otorhinolaeyngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She subspecialized in Facial Plastic Surgery since 2010.

Dr CHU graduated from the medical school of University of Hong Kong in 1990 and Received ENT training in ENT Department of Queen Elizabeth Hospital. His has special interest in Paediatric ENT diseases and various implant surgeries in Head and Neck regions.

Dr. Joseph Chung Chun Kit is currently the Associate Consultant of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat, Queen Mary Hospital and the Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor, the University of Hong Kong. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2004 and received his training in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery in Queen Mary Hospital. He obtained his specialist qualification in otolaryngology in 2011 and then sub-specialized in the field of both head and neck surgery and sleep apnea surgery. He underwent oversea trainings in major sleep surgery and head and neck centers, namely University of California San Francisco, MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston and microvascular training in China Medical University Hospital, Taichung.

His clinical interests include drug induced sleep endoscopy, multi-level sleep surgery and robotic tongue base surgery for obstructive sleep apnea; head and neck cancer resection and microsurgery with free flap reconstruction, minimally invasive robotic and endoscopic surgery.

He is also currently the honorary treasurer of both the Hong Kong Society of Sleep Medicine and the Hong Kong Society of Otorhinolarynology – Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Osan HO is an associate consultant ENT Surgeon of the United Christian Hospital and Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Her subspecialist interest is in Facial Plastic and Reconstruction Surgery and she has completed an International Federation of Facial Plastic Surgery Societies recognized examination in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2015.

Dr HO’s clinical interests include functional and aesthetic facial plastic and reconstructive surgery, in particular functional and aesthetic rhinoplasty, facial nerve palsy reanimation, microtia reconstruction surgery, as well as office-based aesthetic procedures.

Dr Terry HUNG is a specialist in Ear, Nose and Throat/Facial Plastic Surgery from Hong Kong. He spent a three year stint in the Professorial Unit at the Chinese University of Hong Kong before his private practice at Central. His formative surgical years were in London working up to the Consultant level. His Fellowship years were spent in Los Angeles and Paris.

Dr HUNG organized numerous International Facial Plastic Courses which were held in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China. He traveled to Europe, the US and mainland China delivering lectures on rhinoplasty and facial plastic surgery.

Dr Winnie KAN attained Fellowship in Otorhinolaryngology in 2011. She was appointed clinical assistant professor (honorary) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2012. Other than general ear, nose and throat surgeries, she has special interest in facial plastic surgeries.

Dr KWAN graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2007 and completed his specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology in 2014. He underwent overseas training in Laryngology in the University of Pittsburgh Voice Centre in 2016. He is currently Consultant and Head of Laryngology in the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat in Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital, Hong Kong. His special interests include office-based laryngological procedures and difficult airway management.

Dr Peter KU is a consulatnt ENT surgeon in United Christian Hospital in Hong Kong and Clinical Associate Professor (honorary) and chief of Division of Facial Plastic Surgery in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is chief in the Facial Plastic Clinic in Prince of Wales Hospital and United Christian Hospital.

Dr. LAI graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2004. He completed his residency training in otorhinolaryngology in Hong Kong. His main interest is facial plastics and head and neck reconstruction. He received subspecialty training from the attachment to Chang Gung Memorial hospital in Taiwan and the Facial nerve center at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston and UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, USA..

Dr. LAI is a team member of the facial plastic division of CUHK and is actively participating in facial palsy management and facial reanimation surgery.

Dr LAM started his ENT career in early 1990s as a general and head and neck surgery surgery. He develop interests in Facial Plastic surgery in recent years, especially in open rhinoplasty and facial defects repair.

He is a member of the Education Committee of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists and editor of its official newsletter.

Dr Stephen LAU obtained his medical degree from the University of Hong Kong in 2004 and completed his training in Otorhinolaryngology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in 2011. He has special interest in Head & Neck Surgery and Facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. He completed the Post Fellowship training in Head and Neck Surgery of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists in 2016. He was also certified as a facial plastic surgeon by The International Board for Certification in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 2016.

Dr LAU is currently the Associate Consultant of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat, Queen Elizabeth Hospital. His clinical interests include head and neck cancer resection and reconstruction, endoscopic resection of sinonasal malignancy, transoral robotic surgery and rhinoplasty.

Dr. Eric Lau graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2008. He is now an Associate Consultant in the Prince of Wales hospital. He sub-specialises his clinical works and researches in Head and Neck Oncological surgeries.

Dr LEUNG is resident of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat at United Christian Hospital. She is also clinical tutor (honorary) at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr Vincent LEUNG graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2007 and has been working at the Department of ENT, New Territories West Cluster of Hong Kong since 2008. He is an ENT specialist with special interest in laryngology and facial plastic surgery.

Thomas is a speech-language pathologist and deputy chief of the Division of Speech Therapy, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He received his Speech Pathology qualification at The University of Sydney, Australia and Masters in Epidemiology and Biostatistics at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Thomas is currently completing his PhD at the University of Sydney. Thomas has practiced in both Hong Kong and Sydney for 18 years. He works with both children and adults with a wide range of communication and swallowing disorders. He specializes in the area of stuttering, voice disorders and multilingual acquisition and its disorders.

Thomas is a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist of the Speech Pathology Australia and a member of the Hong Kong Institute of Speech Therapists. He is on the Fluency Committee of the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics, a consortium member of Lidcombe Program Trainers Consortium.

Thomas’ research includes intervention outcomes and epidemiology in both stuttering and voice disorders, topography and linguistic trigger of stuttering, and issues regarding perceptual evaluation of voice.

Dr. Dennis Lee graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1997 and he obtained the fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons in 2005. Currently, he is in private practice and he is an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the CUHK.

Dr. Lee developed his special interests on rhinology, endoscopic skull base surgery in particular endoscopic nasopharyngectomy and surgery for sleep apnea. Dr. Lee had been to the New York Presbyterian Hospital in New York and the Hospital Professor Edmundo Vasconcelos Hospital in Brazil to learn rhinology and endoscopic skull base surgery. And he visited the Medical College of Wisconsin in USA and Chung Gang Memorial Hospital in Taiwan to learn about sleep apnea surgery.

Dr. Lee collaborate with neurosurgeons in the Prince of Wales Hospital and developed the first centre which provides endoscopic anterior skull base surgery service in Hong Kong since 2006.

Academically, Dr. Lee has contributed on 21 peer-reviewed articles, 2 book chapters and more than 50 local and international invited presentations. He is actively participating as the chief organizer or co-organizer of multiple conferences related to rhinology and sleep apnea surgery hold by the CUHK.

Dr. John Lee graduated from Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) and had his specialist training in Otorhinolaryngology under New Territories East Cluster (NTEC) and Kowloon East Cluster hospitals. Afterwards he underwent further training in Facial Plastic Surgery and Laryngology at Bizet Clinique Paris, University of Virginia and University of California San Francisco.

He is currently Associate Consultant and Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, CUHK. His research interests is application of biofabricted materials in Otorhinolaryngology.

Professor Kathy Y.S. LEE is currently an Associate Professor and Chief at the Division of Speech Therapy, the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist who has participated extensively in designing the assessment and habilitation programs of various client groups since 1995. She has developed a number of validated tests including the Cantonese Receptive Vocabulary Test (CRVT), the Cantonese Basic Speech Perception Test (CBSPT), the Cantonese Tone Identification Test (CANTIT) and the Cantonese Spoken Word Recognition Test (CanSWORT). Her main research areas lie in pediatric speech and language development, Cantonese tone perception and production, test standardization and validation.

Dr Li graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and completed fellowship training in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He is currently a clinical assistant professor (honorary) in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital.

Dr LIU graduates from University of Hong Kong in 2007 and obtained his specialist qualification in pediatric surgery at 2015. He is currently working as Associate Consultant in Hong Kong Children’s Hospital.

His main interest includes cleft lip and palate surgery. He underwent a 1 year craniofacial fellowship training program in Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, at which he learnt about cleft surgeries as well as cutting edge technology in computer assisted designing for orthognathic surgery. He also introduced the buccal flap surgery for treating velpharyngeal insufficiency in cleft palate patients. With close collaboration with Kowloon East Cluster ENT team, a comprehensive secondary cleft lip nose revision service is provided.

Dr Lo Fook Wai, Jacky is an Associate Consultant in Otorhinolaryngology currently working at Hong Kong Children Hospital, an affiliated unit of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is devoted to sub-specialize in the field of Paediatrics Otorhinolaryngology and Airway reconstruction. Dr Lo is also a clinical honorary tutor of the university and he actively involves in student teaching, both overseas and local congresses.

Dr LO is a Senior Dental Officer of the Oral Maxillofacial Surgery and Dental Unit at Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong.

Dr Ng is an audiologist, currently a council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Audiologists and an executive committee member of the Hong Kong Society of Audiology. Her research interests include development and validation of assessment tools in speech and hearing sciences, and clinical application of speech recognition in Chinese. The Cantonese Spoken Word Recognition Test developed by her team is currently adopted as a clinical assessment tool of spoken word recognition ability, among the Cantonese Chinese-speaking population as young as 3 years of age.

Dr Siu-Kwan NG received his basic medical training in The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). He pursued his specialist training in CUHK-affiliated hospitals.

Before he moved to private practice, he was a consultant surgeon of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Surgery in Prince of Wales Hospital. He is also the Clinical Associate Professor (Honorary), Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Apart from general Ear, Nose and Throat practice, his special clinical interests include thyroid, salivary gland surgery, and also transoral laser surgery for pharyngeal/ laryngeal diseases. He is active in thyroid surgery and serves as an executive committee member of the Asia-Pacific Society of Thyroid Surgery. He is one of the organisers and faculties in the annual CUHK Head and Neck Dissection and Reconstruction Hands-on courses since 2013.

He is also active in the field of sialendoscopy, a minimally invasive technique for obstructive salivary gland diseases. He has been a regular invited faculty in the training courses organised by the European Sialendoscopy Training Center in Geneva since 2013.

Dr NG Yiu-Wing is an Otorhinolaryngologist with special interest in laryngology. He graduated from the University of Hong Kong in 2003 and received his ENT training in the Queen Mary Hospital and the University of Hong Kong. After finished his ENT training in 2011, he went to multiple renounced laryngology centers in USA for his overseas training and learnt from various laryngologists, including Professor Steve Zeitels, Peak Woo, Clark Rosen and Gayle Woodson. In 2018, Dr Ng started his private practice and is now an associate specialist in the Pedder Clinic of Hong Kong, and a council member of the Hong Kong Institute of Speech Therapists.

Dr Darren POON is a clinical oncologist and serves as the consultant at the Department of Clinical Oncology of Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH) in Hong Kong. He is also the honorary clinical associate professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Dr Poon graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and had undergone training at the MD Anderson cancer center and Medical College of Wisconsin after obtaining the FRCR. Dr POON is the current vice-president of the Hong Kong Nasopharyngeal cancer (NPC) study group and the Hong Kong SBRT study group. Dr POON> actively participated in clinical research. He is the current editor-in-chief of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Clinical Oncology Hong Kong Supplement.

Dr SHAM’s interest over the past thirty years has been on rhinology. He has taken part in organizing FESS courses in Hong Kong in the past years. The areas that he is most interested in are sinonasal inverted papilloma and endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy.

Dr Valerie Pereira is Senior Lecturer with the Department of Otorhinolarynlogy, Head & Neck Surgery (CUHK). She graduated from UCL with a Masters in SLT and obtained her PhD from the UCL Institute of Child Health (Lon). She has more than 15 years of clinical and research experience in Craniofacial conditions and was previously with the Supra-regional Craniofacial Unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital and the North Thames Regional Cleft Service in London. In Hong Kong, she also holds an Honorary Assistant Professor position with the Faculty of Dentistry (HKU) as the Speech Therapist for the Cleft and Nasendoscopy Clinics. Dr. Pereira has participated in voluntary Cleft work in Uganda, Sri Lanka, Venezuela and China. Her work has been published in journals and she has also co-authored book chapters on speech assessment in Cleft. She delivered the Braithwaite Oration at the 12^th Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Society and was an invited speaker at the 11^TH World Cleft Lip/Palate Congress Craniofacial Congress (Wuhan) and more recently in London at the RCSLT (UK) Cleft Clinical Excellence Network Study Day. She continues to serve on the Craniofacial Dysmorphias and Related Syndromes Committee for the International Association of Logopedics Phoniatrics.

Dr TANG is Chief of the Division of Laryngology at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Professor Michael C.F. Tong, a clinical professor and Chairman of Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, as well as the Director of the Institute of Human Communicative Research at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, is specialized in the fields of otology, neurotology and skull base surgery. Recently he is pioneering in development of advanced endoscopic ear surgery techniques. Paralleled with that, his interest has extended to the broader field of medicine – epidemiology and public Health especially in elderly health. Having led the clinical research team, he has numerous successful grants and over 190 peer-reviewed publications, which has resulted in a national and international reputation of his Department in the field of general otology, cochlear and auditory brainstem implantation and nasopharyngeal cancer research. Development of technical innovations for minimally invasive surgery in otorhinolaryngology, head and surgery has also been his recent interest. Professor Tong has also visited regional centres regularly in the past 25 years to share his clinical and surgical experience in hearing implants. He has organized a number of international conferences and co-founded the World Chinese Academy of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which is responsible for inter- and intra- disciplinary academic communications, that runs biennial meeting in different cities in greater China. Apart from teaching, research and clinical work, Professor Tong advocates community service to educate the public on health issues related to ear, nose and throat. As Founder and Chairman of a non-profit organization, Hear Talk Foundation, he enlists voluntary service from the professionals offering service to the underprivileged. The Foundation operates regular charitable missions to mainland China to provide free medical and surgical treatment to the poor. He has established an organization, Asia Pacific Otorhinolaryngologic Surgical Training Group, to train otorhinolaryngology-head and neck surgeons in Asia-Pacific region. He is also leading the Department in swallowing research pioneering in the development of new and diagnostic therapeutic tools. In 2017, he co-chaired the organized the World Congress in Rhinology with IRS and ISIAN in Hong Kong.

Dr Willis TSANG graduated from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1995. He became a Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine and the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Otorhinolaryngology in 2002.

Otology and related sciences is his main field of interest, especially in middle ear surgeries and in implantable hearing device surgeries.

He is one of the few pioneers in Hong Kong and Asia who mastered the Bone Anchoring Hearing Aid (BAHA) surgery and the Vibrant Soundbridge and the Bonebridge hearing devices implantation.

Dr TSANG is currently the Chief of the Division of Otology & Neurotology, Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the Consultant of the ENT Department, NTEC.

Professor Andrew van Hasselt received his medical training at The University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. In 1985 he was responsible for establishing the Division of Otorhinolaryngology in the Department of Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), stationed in the University’s teaching hospital, the Prince of Wales Hospital in the New Territories of Hong Kong. The Division has evolved into an independent academic Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at CUHK on 1^st August 2007. He was appointed Chairman of this Department until 31^st July 2015. He has devoted himself to research, integrating academic and clinical experience, while promoting academic exchange and contributing to the regional and international arenas. He is an advocate in minimally invasive surgical techniques in ENT, particularly in endoscopic sinus surgery and lasers in the airway. He is an Otologist of international acclaim with an abiding interest in hearing restoration. He has played a vital leadership role in disseminating surgical expertise in otology. He is passionate about the integration of academic and clinical experience and is widely recognized for innovation in his field. He has delivered numerous invited lectures in Otology and has published the two editions of the definitive work on “Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma”, reflecting his board interest across the field of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. Through both an interest in otology, temporal bone dissection and participation in courses, he has attained a high level of skill in otology microsurgery. He implanted the first bone conductor hearing aid into the skull of a patient in South East Asia and have since established a full adult and paediatric Cochlear Implant Programme (well over 600 cochlear implants have been performed to date.)

Dr Vlantis is an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at The Chinese University of Hong Kong, which he joined in 2000. He is a senior member of the head and neck surgical oncology team at the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong, the field of his main clinical and research interest. He is also responsible for undergraduate teaching of medical students, the training of registrars / clinical assistants in otorhinolaryngology, and for postgraduate subspecialist training in head and neck surgery. He did his undergraduate and postgraduate training in South Africa and a fellowship in head and neck surgery in The Netherlands.

Dr. Fiona Wong was graduated from medical school in The Chinese University of Hong Kong and she completed ENT training at Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital. She currently serves as an associate consultant and she chairs the Salivary Gland Disease Division as well as the Sleep Apnea Surgery Division in the hospital.

Dr. Frederick Wong is a Board-certified facial plastic surgeon and an Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently a Board Member of the International Board of Certification of Facial Plastic Surgery, representing Asia. His special interests in facial plastic surgery include septorhinoplasty, facial rejuvenation, and Asian aesthetics.

Dr Eddy Wong graduated at the medical faculty of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK). After graduation from the medical school, he pursued his ENT specialist training in the United Christian Hospital and the Prince of Wales Hospital (PWH). After that, he developed an interest in head & neck surgery. He underwent further subspecialty training both locally and overseas including the attachment to Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan and MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Houston.

He is currently the Chief of division of head and neck surgery in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, CUHK and consultant head and neck surgeon in PWH. He is also the chief editor of “Head and Neck Dissection and Reconstruction Manual” published by CUHK in 2015. Aside from head and neck oncology surgery, he also interested in robotic and endoscopic surgery for head and neck disease.

王维扬 医生　毕业于香港中文大学医学院（CUHK）。 从医学院毕业后，他在联合医院和威尔斯亲王医院（PWH）进行耳鼻喉科专科培训。 之后，他开始对头颈部手术感兴趣。 他在本地和海外接受了更多的专科培训，包括台湾长庚医院和休斯顿MD安德森肿瘤医院。

他目前是香港中文大学耳鼻喉科耳鼻喉科头颈外科主任和PWH的头颈外科顾问医生。

他亦是2015年中大出版的“头颈部解剖与重建手册”的主编。除头颈肿瘤外科外，他还对头颈部疾病的机器人和内窥镜手术感兴趣。

Dr Birgitta WONG Yee-hang is the COS (Chief of Service) of the Department of ENT in Queen Mary Hospital; Honorary Clinical Associate Professor of the University of Hong Kong and Deputy Hospital Chief Executive of Queen Mary Hospital.

Dr WONG is currently the Honorary Secretary of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists.

Dr WONG graduated from the University of Hong Kong. After her fellowship training in ENT, she develops interest in the subspecialty of Paediatric Otorhinolaryngology and has received overseas training at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London and the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Her clinical and research areas include Paediatric airway diseases, sleep disorders, allergy and voice disorders.

Dr WOO is Clinical Professional Consultant, Professor of Practice in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery (by courtesy), Director of Postgraduate Teaching at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is also Honorary Consultant of the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat at the Prince of Wales Hospital, Hong Kong.

Dr. YEUNG Kong Wah is currently the Consultant & Chief of Services of Otorhinolaryngology in New Territories WestCluster, Hospital Authority. He is also the chief in sleep medicine service development in the New Territories West Cluster.

Since 2008, he has developed a modified technique of uvulopalatopharyngoplasty and more than hundred cases has been performed with satisfactory results. Since 2013, more than 50 cases of midline glossectomy have been performed in one-stage multi-level soft tissue surgery for severe obstructive sleep apnoea syndrome. Most of the cases can achieve 70% improvement in overall sleep quality.

Prof. Dr. CHENG obtained his medical bachelor’s degree in 1987 (Nanjing Medical University, China), and the doctorate degree in 2004 (Kyoto University, Japan). He is currently the professor and chairman of the Department of Otorhinolaryngology at Nanjing Medical University, and is one of the leading rhinologists and allergists in China. At present, he is serving as President-elect of Chinese Society of Allergy, and executive committee member of Chinese Society of Otorhinolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. His main research interests are in the areas of rhinology and allergy with the focus on the molecular mechanisms and clinical management of nasal allergy and inflammation.

Dr Zenon Yeung graduated from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and received his specialty training in Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at United Christian Hospital under the guidance of Dr Victor Abdullah.

Dr Yeung specializes in head and neck cancer surgery and completed his 2-year post-fellowship training in head and neck cancer surgery at the Prince of Wales Hospital and United Christian Hospital in Hong Kong.

In 2015, Dr Yeung was awarded the Thomas Cheung Educational Fund Scholarship to undergo further study in head and neck cancer resection and reconstruction in Iowa, United States. In 2017, Dr Yeung was elected as the Distinguished Young Fellow of the Hong Kong College of Otorhinolaryngologists. In 2019, he was awarded the Hospital Authority Corporate Scholarship to study head and neck cancer surgery at the University of Cape Town with Prof Johannes Fagan.

Dr Yeung is now an Associate Consultant in the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the United Christian Hospital and Tseung Kwan O Hospital, Kowloon East Cluster. He is also an Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor at the Department of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

Dr Kevin YUEN is an Associate Professor at the Department of Special Education and Counselling, Faculty of Education and Human Development, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). He is also the Director of Integrated Centre for Wellbeing (I-WELL) of EdUHK. Dr Yuen was trained as a speech-language pathologist and an audiologist. He is an experienced clinical audiology especially in cochlear implants. Dr YUEN practiced at the Hospital Authority, local universities, and private sectors before he started his academic career in EdUHK. His research interests include the development of reliable speech recognition tests in quiet and in noise to evaluate the auditory processing abilities of children and adolescents with peripheral hearing impairments, central auditory processing disorders, and language learning disorders including specific language impairments and reading and writing disorders (dyslexia). His latest research developments are Cantonese Disyllabic Word Identification Test in Noise - Adaptive (CANDIWIT-N-A), Mandarin Spoken Word - Picture Identification Test in Noise - Adaptive (MAPID-A), and Cantonese Pediatric Lexical Tone Dichotic Listening Test (CaPeLeToDLT).
