方博士是一位言语治疗师，他的专长是处理吞咽困难及运动言语障碍。 他曾经在香港一间教学医院工作15年，所以对不同年龄及疾病的病人都拥有丰富的临床经验。 方博士在澳洲昆士兰大学完成博士学位，博士论文是关于鼻咽癌病人的吞咽问题。 他在学术期刊及国际学术会议发表了不少关于吞咽障碍、头颈癌及吞咽治疗的文献。 方博士于知识移转及推动关于吞咽障碍的教学上得到了研究经费。 方博士现在是部门的助理教授，主要负责教授及研究吞咽困难及运动言语障碍。 现正进行的研究包括: 鼻咽癌病人的吞咽治疗、吞咽评估新方法的可用性以及在老年人中使用软餐的效果。
