On behalf of the International Society of Inflammation and Allergy of the Nose (ISIAN), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the Rhinology World Congress – Hong Kong 2017 which will be held in Hong Kong, China, from September 1
st to 3
rd, 2017.
It is well recognized that the upper respiratory diseases has had a high prevalence in recent decades, and impose a significant financial and logistical burden on both the individual and society. Therefore, new treatments of upper respiratory diseases play an important role in the future of human health. During the past years, we have witnessed the great progress in the areas of allergy and rhinology stemming from the development of the nasal research, improvement of endoscopic sinus surgery, comprehensive treatment strategies for allergic rhinitis and asthma.
Traditional Chinese Medicine has a long history in treating diseases; especially herbal medicines and Acupuncture have contributed to the area of nasal inflammation and allergy. “When East meets West” will be the spotlight of the present congress, the scientific program will focus on new developments, challenges and latest technologies in basic and clinical rhinology from both the perspectives of the East and the West.
This is first time that the ISIAN will be held in China. My Chinese colleagues and I would like to welcome you to make this an exciting and successful congress, and you will enjoy the beauty of Hong Kong and its attractions in September.
